I was told this movie was a tearjerker and everyone was right. I never saw the original but I definately shed some tears. What is everyone else's opinion on the movie?

ohhh, jeezz...the original rocked. I cried like a friggin baby. I only hope that the new version upholds the Brian's Song tradition, but I'm doubting it. I mean, come on: James Caan, Billy Dee Williams, Shelley Fabare, Judy Pace, with original Bears (e.g. Dick Butkus) and Jack Warden as Halas? Can't touch that.

...and Go Bears!

The movie was pretty decent. I'm in my early 20s so I never saw the original but I knew that it was a tearjerker. I didn't really cry though cause I was only halfway paying attention. I definitely was felling it at the award scene.

I just thought that it was kind of tacky how "for more information on the B. Piccolo Organization" ABC directed the viewers to their network website. They should have just put up the official site instead since there is only a link on abc.com anyways.

*Sigh* ... if only they had had angiogenesis inhibitors in the late 1960s....

that was my dilemma too, I'm only 18 and too young to have seen the original...I'd like to see it now to see the difference
