Ladies, empty your purses.

Gentlemen, turn out your coat pockets.

(Whoever has the gun is the murderer.)

Me? I have car keys in my left pocket, along with some spare change. In my right pocket, my cellphone (only because sitting with the belt clip is kinda uncomfortable). In my "cargo pocket" I have my checkbook. Back pocket, wallet.

What about you?

No Fear leather wallet in back right pocket with chain on front right belt-loop

Ummm...lessee here, what's in the bag...

Three keyrings (work/house, car, parents' place)
A credit-card sized tiny torch keyring with no keys on it
Wallet, which is a whole 'nother crap pile all by itself, containing driver's license, Medicare card, two video library cards, garage's business card, umpteen receipts, organ donor card, appointment card for my next blood donation date, more receipts, and some cash
Loose change that always migrates to the bottom of the bag
Smokes
Three lighters (at least one of these will not work)
Pen or three
Lip gloss which I don't actually use
Oh, looky, here's a ticket to a Beatles tribute show I went to a while back
A fridge magnet in the shape of an L which a friend's 20-month old kid put in my bag (we were spelling things on the fridge)

Let's see.. ::reaching into pockets::

Lab coat:
Right pocket.. 35 cents and the electronic thingy that lets me into the lab. Keys when I leave the office.
Left pocket.. a $5 bill, a business card, a post-it with an email addy on it, a kleenex, and a receipt from lunch yesterday.
Top pocket.. pencil and Uniballtm Onyx blue pen.

Pants pockets.. nothing.

Backpack.. yeesh.
Back compartment.. personal stuff. Wallet (no money in there, just credit cards, stray receipts, a bucket full of pennies, license, and two work IDs), notebook for class, textbook, returned homework assignments, datebook, lip balm, checkbook, three pens, some bills I'm going to pay during lunch, some makeup just in case, and a tactical baton in a nice sheath.
Middle compartment.. office stuff for office #1. Budget sheets, mailing lists, mail to be sent out, a few petty cash thingys that need to be processed, a PR copy job I need to run over to publications.
Front compartment.. office stuff for office #2. Same as office #1, plus a contract with the local DNR that I need to approve and process.

OK, lessee here. . .

Left front pocket: American Tourister leather trifold containing $32, a couple of lottery tickets, cards, and so much other useless krep it's not funny. Remember the episode of "Seinfeld" where Jerry tells George his wallet is a filing cabinet? That's mine. If I put it in my back pocket I'd get scoliosis.

Right front: 78 cents in change, mini Swiss Army knife on keychain with house and garage keys, keychain with keys to my station wagon, and my pocketwatch.

Left rear: Ace hard rubber comb.

Right rear: Handkerchief (white cotton, extra large).

This morning I forgot to put on the Masonic ring my late wife gave me when we got engaged, and I feel naked without it.

Zap!

I carry just about everything I need in my carry all/purse/bag so almost nothing ever goes into my jacket or pants pockets except paper money.

There's change in the zipper pocket as well as a refill for each of my fountain pens. My Sharp organizer sits in the outer pocket with a small notepad. The main pocket carries my wallet, medication, cigarettes, phone, and gum. The hidden pocket in the back carries my chequebook, business cards, receipts, and a comb. There's 3 fountain pens (blue, red, and black) and my Staedtler multi pen/pencil. Clipped to the side is an emergency barrier device (in case I need to perform C.P.R.)

There's a small multi tool on my keychain as well as my Mag-lite Solitaire, I have larger versions of each that I don't always carry with me.

At the moment, I have a quarter in my right front pocket. Usually, I keep whatever money I'm going to use that day in one of my front pockets.

In my backpack I have:

- my wallet with money, driving permit, phone card, and assorted other bits of paper with e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers inside
- all of my pens and pencils
- a few candy bar wrappers
- my regular house keys and my spare key for my mom's house
- two rolls of film I need to get developed
- a bunch of face wipes
- a tube of lip balm and a pot of lip balm
- a half-empty pack of Kleenex
- three or four books to read for fun
- a French/English dictionary and a copy of Harry Potter in French (which I really could take out, since my class finished it up last week)
- all my textbooks and notebooks
- a logic puzzles book
- a notebook with several stories and random bits of writing in it
- my mouthpiece and music
- whatever else I feel like tossing in, which is usually just a soda or a pack of peanuts to eat later
- my graphing calculator occasionally

I have lots of little junk in my backpack. It all gets tossed around, so I'm never really sure what's in there.
My purse just has a tube of lip balm in it. If I take it anywhere, I toss my wallet in also.

Let's see, I don't usually carry much in my pockets.
In my purse's front pocket:
Cherry Chapstick
Cell phone
a rock

In the purse:
Wallet
Keys
two pens (one blue and one black)
change purse
Imitrex auto-injector kit (migraine medicine)
small brush
small Kleenex pack
bottle of Target-brand Advil
little address book with phone numbers
Scooby-Doo band-aids
wet wipes
four crayons (blue, red, green and purple)
two rocks
three Hot Wheels cars (ambulance, Mercedes and a police car)

In the bag I carry back and forth to school each day:
Lesson plan book
Folders with lesson ideas
"The Mailbox" magazine
extra construction paper, various colors
Bottle of Elmer's glue
several Sharpies
Pens
Colored pencils
Scissors
Circle cutter
Ziploc bag with about 40 craft sticks (popsicle sticks)

Other stuff always with me:
Gold wedding band & engagement ring
Signet ring with family crest

Sterling heart bracelet hubby gave me when we started dating
Gold scarab bracelet
2 gold "Figaro" link bracelets, slightly different

I seem to be relatively unique:

Left pocket:
Spare Car Key, with a pocketknife on the keyring
All credit cards, kept together with a rubber band.Right Pocket:
Car/House/Work Keys
Leatherman Micra, with scissors and blade and screwdriver.
Back Pocket (alternate left or right)
Very thin wallet, containing $92.Note:
Two sets of car keys can mean the difference between a catastrophe or no big deal.

Two pocketknives is just showing off :)

Also, keeping all the credit cards/ID in the front pocket makes the wallet much more thin, which saves on back pocket wear. It also keeps my back from getting sore for some reason.
