One plane named Dave's Dream was used to drop a/the bomb during the Bikini Atoll testing.

I myself am a worsipper at the Church of Dave's Dream. But it is the Dave's Dream that is proudly displayed at the Smithsonian Institution's American History Museum, not the plane. If you happen to be there and see a guy wearing a red velvet mirror-studded cloak laying flowers at the hub of the most tricked-out LTD ever to grace the earth, say "hi, Sofa King."

Some of the features Dave's Dream sports:

* Red velvet-lined, mirror-studded engine bay, including underside of hood. Air cleaner is chromed.

* Chrome-plated hydraulic and nitrous kits.

* Swivel-out red velvet seats.

* 8-track stereo.

* Black-and-white television, on a swivel in the center of the back seat (for the kids).

* Chrome-plated exhaust system and metallic-flake underside and wheelwell paintjob.

* Airbrushed portrait of Dave, his wife, and his kid prominently displayed on left rear panel.

* Fuzzy dice.

* Eight inch chain-link steering wheel.

You want to talk about dropping the bomb? Dave did it. Dave's Dream currently resides alongside a Tucker and Evel Knievel's motorcycle and uniform. Truly one of the greats, and a National Treasure.
