if that subject isn't a hook, i don't know what is.

i recently recieved some cigars as a gift, but i'm not sure what to do with them, having no formal training. do i light the tapered end or the rounded end near the logo ring? i assume one removes the ring before lighting up. i've heard about "cigar clips," but exactly what does one clip?
are there any other rules for the non-initiate?

You stick your mouth on the ringed end. You don't have to remove it if you don't want to, but it makes it harder to take off and save once the cigar is lit.
Cigars aren't like cigarettes. Don't breathe them in. Inhale into mouth, hold, release. Do this two, maybe three times a minute.
Everyone seems to like sherry or cognac with a good cigar. Me? Diet Coke. The carbonation just explodes in your mouth when you're smoking.
