With charcoal a distant memory and my old sunbeam ready to fall apart due to rust I went for it and got a Ducane gas grill. But not just any Ducane gas grill but a Ducane natural gas grill. That's right, no more dealing with propane tanks. No more running out of gas in the middle of a meal. No more hesitating using that side burner for fear of using up too much gas and having to refill that tank.

And to top it all off it had a rotisery (something that turns the food for you).

You may now get in line to admire my new grill.

Can you bake with it?

I was just looking at the combo owners manual and cookbook when I hit refresh and saw your post. Just so happends that I had it open to how to make celery seed bread and was thinking wow you can bake w/ it but they just use already baked bread as one of the ingredinets.

So to answer your question - I could but I don't see it recommended.

I thought to bake with it you had to upgrade to the Ducane-Hines.

Jeez, I thought you meant a "Dukane," one of those odd reel still projectors that elementary schools were equipped with in the '70s. I thought that was totally cool.
Um, congratulations on your GRILL, I guess. . .

I bow to your grill. My husband would be most jealous -- we have a Weber, which is one (or possibly two) levels below the Ducane. So... ooohhh, aaahhh -- cool grill!

Finally some respect. The BBQ is on hold because it's pouring rain right now. I might have to build a roof for it.

You need a matched set of Big Green Eggs (small, medium, large) before any bowing goes down.

However, a Ducane is a fine sight better than The Holland Grill ("The Last Grill You'll Ever Own") rusting out in the side yard.
