My buddy has a PS2 and I have a PC with high speed connection. Are we able to play over the internet yet, or does anybody know if the technology is on the way? Am I able to play PS2 games on my PC?

No, no, and no. When PS2 goes online, you will play against other PS2 players. And PS2 games will not work on a PC.

Get a dreamcast, they are cheap & you can play online with each other. Which BTW, you must pay for.
