My SO and his best firend teemed up and gave her to me a a present. I was so supised and so excited. I just had to share. She is so wonderful.
Now for a name…

We just told Jack and Ziff (our cats) that we thought they were old enough to have their own kitten. Will be adopting soon. Congrats on your new fuzzball, please post pics and name as soon as available!

I had a friend who named her cat Chloe. Always thought that was a cute one!

ClairificC,
I am so wanting a little kitten right now but my three cats may disagree about a new kitten.
Names....hmmmm
Tarzan....gray long hair, get it? Greystroke?
Maybe, maybe not, I am sorta drunk right now.
Anyway, give the kitten a pet for me. And congrats, a kitten is joy in a small bundle.

I think I'll name her Madeline. It seems to fit. She's so perfect and darling, she whines when I leave the room. It melts my heart, it really does. I'll post pics as soon as I can. I'm so happy. I have a little kittie.

There's just nothing in the world that gives a higher level of pure, stress-free, guilt-free happiness as a kitten purring on your lap.

Have you thought of getting her a brother or sister? Two kittens at the same time are such a joy, and hardly a dent in your pocket (at least in my experience - once you have one, adding the 2nd is hardly any financial or energetic strain). I swear by having two, since I can leave the house all day long, and even on short overnight or weekend trips and they still have each other for companionship and stimulation. Yes, cats CAN be solitary animals, but why not double the love? ;)

Congratulations! I'm allergic to cats myself, but new pets are always a great joy and blessing.

If you get her a companion, it's best if they come from the same litter.

Congrats on the new little one! She sounds like a wonderful little velcro kitty (the ones that follow you around so much they might as well be velcroed to your pants).
If you're considering getting Maddie a friend, you'll probably want to do it soon, before she gets used to being the only cat in the house. She'll adjust if you bring one in later, but it will go a lot smoother if you do it now. Sometimes only cats develop a dislike for other cats, but raising her with another cat should take care of that.
Also, if she hasn't already been vaccinated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV, you need to do that as soon as possible. Keeping her boosters current is the single most important thing you can do for her health. Even if she's strictly an inside cat, keep her vaccinated, because even inside cats can accidently get out.
Congratulations again. Maggie and Eponine say "Mrow," which either means "That's wonderful news!" or "Where the hell is our dinner?"

She's so curious and playful… and yes, I'm thinking about grabbing a litter mate. She's a kittie who (at least for the moment) is demanding attention and to be played with, I can't be around ALL the time so I think a litter mate would be nice for her.
But I'm completly in love, she woke me up twice last night just to play. For once i didn't grumle or whine. Just smiled and said "Silly kitty, it 2 Am, go back to sleep" and she curled up in my hair and did.
She loves string and crumpled newspaper and pounces on anything that looks interesting. We found out today that humans blink their eyes and under no circumstances are human eye's toys.
Wow… I am in love. Pics to come soon

:D yay!
Does she fit in your shoe?
Sadly, I was not so patient with Zazou when he was a kitten. In my defence I must say that he enjoyed promenading on my naked back with his little kitty cleats out when I was trying to sleep. Not a good thing. So kitten slept in the bathroom for the first little while. But eventually we reached détente. Also when he was that age he could fit in my shoe.
*goes off to harass Zazou in a loving fashion*
