Ratts! Robbin Crosby dead at age 41 (Sorry Eve0

Eve is much better at the creative death announcement thread titles (Roger is now Kaputnick, etc.) but I wanted to let those who care know that Robbin Crosby, guitarist and founder of the 80s hair band "Ratt" died of AIDS at age 41. He contracted aids from his heroin use.

Though I hate to admit it, this confirmed Dead Head saw Ratt open for Billy Squire back in the 80s.

Spritle, I saw Ratt on that same tour opening slot, at Blossom Music Center in Ohio. I remember that concert well. Even though metal is totally not my thing anymore, "Out of the Cellar" was one hell of an album.

Yeah, I remember seeing them in some club in DC. I can't recall where. I always thought Steven Pearcy (is that right) had a great stage presence.

If you've never heard Henry Rollins's story about going to see Ratt in a club a few years ago, it's brilliant. I'm not sure if a recording is available anywhere, though.
