SoxFan59 said that "Sox" is a slang term for condom. I have heard raincoat and a few others. The question is, how many different versions of "condom" are out there?

In England the "traditional" terms for condoms are "french letter" and "johnny". But I'm sure they've invented some better ones since.

A friend of mine, who lives on the East Coast, calls used condoms that wash up on the beach, "Coney Island Whitefish"

Interesting -- seeing as Gummi Bears are also German. Could this be a final revenge over that whole firebombing of Dresden thing?

On a baseball card, for Sparky Lyle, once, was the question, "How long is the pitcher's rubber?" The answer was, "24 inches" (!!!) Hey, I don't think even Sparky was that much of a stud!! ;)

"French purse" was the preferred euphemism in Robert Heinlen's "To Sail Beyond the Sunset."
