I wouldn't mind to see Germany win, but I think the odds are long without Ballack to generate some chances.

Good luck tomorrow!

I think Germany can do it. They'd have to force the game into PKs, and Chewbacca Kahn would be able to show why he's the best goalie in the world. Plus, they'll have Oliver Neuville, he's a sneaky little fuck (recognize what movie that's from and you get a big 'ol gold star). One of the big reasons why Ronaldo's so good is because physically he's so much stronger than most defenders, but with guys like Hamann on the back line for Germany that part of his game will be neutralized. Germany can do it.

Like I said in the other thread, "may the best team win". At haftime, the most threatening team seems to be Brazil, but Germany have the better defense, and a much stronger collective.

I'm betting on a sneaky goal by Neuville in the 92nd minute, in true German style. ;)

I think Coldfire's playing around with the pronunciation of 'Europe'. Say it really, really fast. 'Yurp'. Like 'Merkin' for 'American'.

Oh, and go Germany!

Correct. A little self-depreciating humour, if you will.

I feel bad for Oliver Kahn right now...

My boyfriend's roommate and I were trading insults all week about this match. The way he put it was, "Germany is one of the world's industrial, economic, and political powers. Brazil's a shithole and practically all its people are starving - soccer is all they have! Let 'em win!"

So, I did. It was all up to me. (Sorry, Deutschland fans.)
