When this thing debuted a little bit ago it was supposed to be the second coming of Christ cartoonwise, but all the episodes I've seen so far (about 5) have been pretty mediocre as entertainment. The animation and voice characterizations are OK (but not spectacular) but the "evil wizard" plotline and the storylines in general have been pretty unimpressive in most instances and needlessly (IMO) convoluted in others.

Am I the only one who thinks this show was oversold?

Yes. :p

We love Jack around the Ranger compound.

Are you crazy? Jack kicks ass.

Such burden-bearing, such self-sacrifice, such purity of heart ... *wipes away tear

Our pop culture is unworthy of the likes of him.

... but I caught about 10 minutes of the show at a friend's house and was hooked. I rented the DVD and was sold.

My wife is an artist/designer/colorist and was very impressed with the look of the 'toon as well.

Great show.
