Me and my son walk around our neighborhood in the evening. Twice, we have walked by a street light, and its gone out when we walked by, only to go back on again after we've passed.
Has this happened to any of you?

Back in my college days there was this one women I used to hang with. I swear that it must have happened to us a dozen times with six or seven different street lights. It was a running joke with us.

I enjoyed Cecil's article on this subject and immediately directed it to a friend of mine when I chanced upon it a month or so ago. You see, much like hajario, we have a running gag about it. I have no clue why it happens, but its uncanny how often streetlights turn off in the presence of this guy. I'm talking a flawless representation of the "light turns off as he approaches, turns on after he has passed" phenomena.
