This is a very weak rant, but I have had it up to my fresh fragrance pits with the fucking macho friends I have. When I go to the gym and work out I, like most people, feel dirty and nasty afterwards. So we go into the locker room and shower and as soon as I pull out my "Passion Blossoms" Ladies Speedstick my friends start slinging shit.
Why do I use LS you ask? Let me tell you. I don't want to smell like a fucking locker room that is why. Mountain Rain, Musk, Sports Scent, Sports Musk, Mountian Musk, Musky Rain, Sports Rain, Mountain Sports Rain-musk, etc... all remind me of a fucking locker room. As soon as I smell that shit I think of the fucking gym. If I wanted to smell like a fucking locker room I would go roll around in the dirty towels on my way out the door. I happen to prefer to smell clean, or at least pleasant. I started out using powder fresh in high school, and then moved onto the really smelly ladies shit. Its soothing to me when I get all worked up or all hot to smell the pleasant smell of a pumpkin patch instead of a musky rainstorm.
If I want to smell all "manly" I will put on my manly cologne, but I want to be refreshed after the gym, not smell sporty. I leave my sports at the gym.
Thanks for your support.

Next time (and perhaps every time) somebody comments on it, grab them by the ears and kiss them full on the lips, hard (tongue optional). They might not be so quick to mention it again.

FWIW *dude* I use a deodorant that is not labled for a man or a woman....Degree has many great scents, a few that are gender nutreul (sp). Works great.
Either you are BSing us or you are truthful, hard to say.
As a woman I don't find heavily scented deodorants all that attractive on people. Messes with the other smells you emit.
As a current and soon to be non-smoker I KNOW I will prefer fewer scents on people. I already have a strong sense of smell, even with my smoking. But shit, at least get a deo that is meant for men/women rather than smell like a fucking flower. Even as a woman I can't stand smelling like I rolled into the cheap perfume section of the drugstore.
Pits should not smell like you rubbed fake roses on them, pits should not smell like BO that's been rotting on your body for hours.

Wow, that narrows down the options.
Hate to break it to you hunny bunny, but I use official ladies speedstick. I like the smell. In fact, it looks like we live in the same town so maybe you will see me in the girlie-stink isle at King Soopers buying my next stick of "Passion Fragrance".
And no, I am not bullshitting you.

When I met my husband for the first time, he smelled positively yummy. I commented on his cologne and he said he wasn't wearing any. I always loved the way he smelled, so a few months into the relationship I was in his bathroom when I noticed the source of his sweet freshness.
Ladies Speed Stick. Musk.
Now I have the ladies speed stick. Got rid of the husband :)

YES! I knew I couldn't be the only one. I knew it!
Oddly enough though, I won't use scented lotions. I can't stand scented lotions. Especially the shit at Bath and Body Works. Too damn strong. Chicks I work with smear that shit on them.
But, lotion doesn't remind me of the gym so I guess is doesn't matter. At least it isn't Musky Sport or some shit like that.

Half of the men I know use ladies razors (they maintain they cut themselves less often) - wonder what your locker room pals would make of that.
I tend to buy a lot of men's deodorants because so many of the women's ones smell "perfumey".

Not being too familair with the American deodorant market, the term "Ladies Speed Stick" alternately makes me think of a souped up small Japanese hatchback, or... uh... something else. :D

We buy unscented EVERYTHING -- except for Mr. S's vanilla hand lotion. Weird when he comes to bed smelling like Grandma. And I have taken to cutting off the dentist's office's lengthy appointment reminder with "I'll be there, and I never wear anything scented." I swear, their "Please don't wear cologne to the office" schtick is about two minutes long -- and it's wasted on us.
I am reminded of a bit from Jerry Seinfeld's old routine, about scented men's deodorant. The theme was "Why bother?" and the line I recall was, "If she's got her nose in your pit, she LIKES you."

Whatever works for you, man.
I've been known to run off with husband's deodorant. I like the smell. It's not a "manly" smell, it just smells clean and fresh.

My husband uses Secret. He used mine when he ran out of his, decided he liked it. Strong enough for a man....

Dude, you have the same deodorant as me.
Now I'm going to think of you every time I get dressed in the morning.
Makes note on To Do list to buy new deodorant on the way home from work...

If you start putting a tampon up your ass, then maybe you've gone too far.

Damn, thats cold hearted. How do you expect me to have your babies when you don't even respect me?
I have used a womans razor on my face before. It was alright, but I have a babyface that I only have to shave every few days so I don't mess with the girlie razor. I do like that skintimate gel though. If its there Ill use it.

Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!
Stinkpalm, if it's any consolation, I use whatever deodorant is on sale that doesn't smell like either a box of scented feminine products or a sweaty gym sock. (I am a girl.) It doesn't matter to me, as long as I don't smell nasty and funky by the end of the day. (Walking a mile and a half to work every day in 98 degree weather is really testing my deo/antipersperant, though.)
On this same note, why do they make women's deo that smells like scented sanitary pads? I mean, I never understood the concept of putting something even stinkier on to cover up something that smelled. I hate walking through stores and catching a whiff of that smell. Blargh! :insert pukey smiley:

Ha ha! Stinkpalm blows it with jinwicked! She's all mine! Hahahahaha...anyway.
It's just deodorant. Most guys you will run into in the gym seem to be way too involved with being masculine anyway. I think it's all that standing around naked that prompts many men to assure each other that they're not gay. Whatever. They need to become a little more secure.
And, if you're in the same area as techchick68, then why weren't you at the last Denver dopefest? Hmm?

Yuck! I hear you on the man deo stink.( I work in a drug store.) But girl's deo stinks too. Its just a different stink.
Arm & hammer, baby, in Powder. No scent unless its working hard, and then it just smells clean.

I'm just having a hard time reconciling someone with a user name "Stinkpalm" with a person who want's to smell nice and fresh and not like a locker room.
As a hijack this reminds me of the time when I replaced a roommate's deorderant with that hair removal gel glide stick (it looked like his deorderant... and it was first thing in the morning so he used it...)

Stinkpalm, my husband agrees with you. He hates all that musky-sporty deodorant crap. He's never gone so far as to use "women's" deodorant, though, because he found a "men's" deodorant that doesn't smell like that. It's Speed Stick "Fresh", the white solid with the green cap. The smell is nice and, IMO, gender-neutral (even though the back of the container says "Clean masculine scent.") I have to be very careful to buy the right one--he will accept no substitutes.
However, if you prefer "Passion Blossoms," more power to you. Why do men feel the need to rag on each other for that shit? My husband got ragged on by some teenage boys in the locker room at the Y last week because he had a towel with *gasp* a pink stripe in it!

Ditto for my brother. I was just at his house yesterday and saw it on his counter. It was powder scented. IIRC, he and his wife used to share it when he was married. He kicked her out and kept the deodorant.

Gee your pits smell terrific!
My husband and I share deoderant, usually. Degree neutral scented/fresh rain/something or other. Our pits smell great. Go ahead! Sniff 'em!

Ahem.
I'm a girl who likes to use Old Spice. I love the scent, it turns me on. I know its probably sick and perverted to get turned on by your own smell, but there you go.
Maybe it turns me on cuz I only use it after I've spent the night at my pseudo/ex b-f's house.

I don't like deoderant smells, so I get odor free ones when possible.
I do use scented lotion and occassionally body spray, but they are "cake batter" scented, and they don't smell all weird, they just make it smell like I've been baking.
