Well, in February it'll be 30 years of the Straight Dope.
Should we all get together and celebrate?
And meet Cecil?

Great idea though - I'd be up for it. The problem would be the choice of location, given how Dopers are spread all over the world.

Vanilla - you mean you didn't get your invitation yet? Geez, I had mine months ago! I think you need to RSVP by August 15th. You better track down Cecil and ask for another invitation.

On second thought, nevermind. Maybe you're not on "The List".

I think not. After all, The Great Wondrous Annual Dopefest Of New York CityTM will be in January.

And everyone who attends will still be recovering.











Just so you know, I do realize it is more appropriate ot be in Chicago, but that's just too much and too far for some of us, who really will still be recuperating from NYC Dopefest weekend.

Why just one? Why not synchronized Dopefests all across the globe? We could have a day where the boards are virtually deserted because we're all partying. The sun will never set on the Straight Dope. :)
