View Full Version : Favorite shot hair styles for girls?

I need a haircut. This is basically me shamelessly looking for new hair styles that I might force upon my rather short hair. I'm a big fan of the pixie cut, but a little scared to go that short without knowing how it will look on me. I'll probably just go with my usual -- a wedge in the back and longish strands framing my face.
Unless, of course, you teeming millions have any better, cooler suggestions.

Favorite shot hair styles for girls?
You don't want to know what I thought this thread was about...

Well, I love the pixie cut. If you have the beautiful neck required, then go for it.
Scared? C'mon! Go for it.

I have a long brush cut, tapered on the sides and about an inch long on top. I wa terrified when I first got it, but I've never had so many compliments on my hair before. I like it because it only takes about 5 minutes in the morning. And besides, this way I can change the color constantly.

I got my hair chopped like the dickens about 2 years ago (after a lifetime of long hair). I gained so much confidence and felt pretty darn cool (for being horribly modest) and I still get lots of compliments to this day. Get something short and funky, makes people think you're up to no good :)

Well.... (this assumes you have a means of taking an appropriate picture, and a way to get it into your computer) see if you can find on the discount shelves an older version of "Virtual Makeover" software: I saw one at a local discount store for $10. Load up your picture into the software, and have at it! Wanna see a pixie cut on you? Click, and there ya go! Want to see yourself with blue hair? I'm sure you get the idea.
You can find places to do this for you, but last time I saw them they were charging $20 and up for the service.
If you don't go the above route... Go for the pixie! If it doesn't work out, it'll grow back out in a relatively short period of time.
