My sister brings home this extra credit worksheet thing and we're solved everything except for 1 of them.

This is how it works (i'll show you examples):

3 B M, S H T R = 3 blind mice, see how they run
88 K on a P = 88 keys on a piano
16 O in a P = 16 ounces in a pound

Here's the one we are stuck on:
10 F in one L of B = ??????

10 frames in one line of bowling.

I don't know about this one. 10 frames of bowling is a game. I've never heard it called a line. But, I can't think of anything better, to be honest. Could be "10 fish in a liter of bagels," for all I know. ;)

Maybe it's a regionalism?

YMMV, of course, but I stand by my answer. :)

I had a teacher who would make these up. There were a lot of funny ones, and they're not hard to come up with, but one good one is:

0 (zero) H on a HH.

That's not the list my sister had. Her's was 100 long, not 29. Thanks for the answer folks

I of course was referring to the original flag with the stars in a circle...ahem...yes...that will do.

I don't know.

I'm pretty impressed, though, that you got those. I got a list a few weeks ago, and of the 33 Q's I blazed through about 20 of them, and managed to figure out the rest, save the two you threw in, and the four I mentioned. Those two of yours still have me stumped.

100 C in a R

100 Cockleshells in a Row

6 B to an O in C

6 Bowls to an Over in Cricket

While I knew these, you can usually find the answers to these with a simple on-line search, as long as you keep the whole thing in quotes, as in "6 B to an O in C".

I love these. Anymore?

I typed those things in google but got nothing of the sort, just a bunch of gobble-dee-gook search answers. At least I tried and thanks for the answers.
