View Full Version : Notice Me!?

What is the best way to get a guy you like to notice you more?

This question is more a solicitation of opinions than a factual question (well, there are some factually guaranteed ways to get someone to notice you, but that's not what you're looking for!).
So I'll move this thread to our forum for such things, In My Humble Opinion.
Welcome to the boards.

To be sure, it requires a two-pronged approach: breast implants and winning a Nobel Prize (preferably chemistry - then your potential suitor can use a ready-made pick-up line like "I think we have good chemistry.")

Pay attention to that particular guy and tryand figure out hoe to get that particular guy to notice you. Custom approaches always work better than one-size-fits-all tactics.

Talk to him and try to get to know him. Do you work or go to school with this guy? Find something in common and use it as a starting point.

Maybe I'll come off sounding like a missing link, and I am sure some will disagree with my advice, but here goes. Do you look good in a mini and heels? yes? good go for it! There was a girl who used to live in my town not long ago who I thought was beautiful. I noticed her immediatly,my friends were sort of indifferent about her though. She was the loose jeans type mostly . One sunny summer day this year she went out in a tight-fitting short skirt and heels and badda boom!! the chest beating began. "man she's gonna cause an accident" my friend said, only *then* did they really notice her. anyhoo thats my .02c

Paint green and pink stripes across your face.
Fart every time you walk by him.
Become a famous movie star.
Light your hair on fire.
Gain 200 pounds.
Lose 100 pounds.
Walk backwards all the time.

Find common ground.
For example, if both of you like science fiction, you can talk with him on that.

Try asking him for his phone number. Tell him you want it because you think he's cute and you'd like to ask him out now and then.

Oh, sorry. The OP... um... the best way to get a guy to notice you is to notice him. Talk to him, hang with him, express an interest in the things he's doing.

I'm still thinking about Arnold Winkelried's "two-pronged" approach --

Well, its kind of an interesting whole story. he is one of my brothers friends but i have really liked him for a long time. i little while ago i said somethign about maybe hanging out osmeitme and then we would make plans and stuff but they never really happened. then we talked and he said that he just thoguht it would be wierd because im his friends sister you know. so then i just didnt say anythign else about it and i hadnt seen him for a while not to talk anyways, so then he started like goign out of his way to tlak to me and stuff and then the other day eh was just like hey we shoudl hang out soemtime. so i dont know what made him change his mind.

Show cleavage. Verily, verily I swear unto you nothing is more effective. Forget charm, personality, sharing interests, bla bla bla. Nothing gets 'em better then bOObs. K, but seriously, talking to him, getting in good and all that increase your chances. Which is not to say looking good (i.e. boobage) is not important.
....But of course, you've already reeled him in so it doesn't matter anymore. Probably wore a low cut top. ;)

Stare at him until he notices. Then continue to stare at him until he asks you what you're doing. You can answer "nothing" or anything else you want. Continue to stare at him even after that.

Ahh the stare, I hate the stare. I get the stare sometimes when I am driving (girls walking) I stare back. (btw my friends notice also: " hey looks like you have a fan" "hey she was looking at you"etc.) yet when I try to introduce myself or say "hello" I get the cold shoulder. My friend said "must be the car" ,hmm must be I suppose..

Tony Montana I, like you, have a problem with women staring in my direction. My problem is that they do it whether I'm tooling around town in my mint condition '73 Corvette or on my bike in tight shorts with my shirt off. I just can't figure whether it's the bike or the car.

Tigers2b1 in *my* case I dont think it (the look/stare) means anything other than maybe "cool car, take me for a ride?" I'd like it to be "cool car, take me now!"...

How do you get guys to notice a girl?
Guys notice EVERY girl. And they're all thinking "I wish I was with that girl."
So it isn't difficult. For girls, that is. (For guys it's a 24 hr nightmare)

Alas, I have no advice to offer about how to get guys to notice you. Except every bf I've had I was friends with before (and sometimes after, too).

He won't be annoyed. He'll think you like him. If he likes you, then that will make him happy, not annoyed. If he doesn't like you, then he deserves to be annoyed. :)

I am a guy. 29.
<paranoia on>
Do I not seem masculine enough in my posts? Too masculine? Do I sound really old? Really young? Do the kids still say pelvis any more? Maybe she's only asking because she wants me. I'll go wait by the phone.
<paranoia off>
Eye contact, positivity, a sense of humor, some gentle teasing ought to work. Go easy on the sarcasm though - it's an acquired taste.

Mrs. Giraffe: "Hey, whatcha doing?"
Me: "Oh, just discussing my opinions on shaved genitalia with some 17 year old girl from the Internet."
Mrs. Giraffe: "I see. Carry on."
No, I don't much care for having "it" shaved completely. Some trimming can be nice (neatness is always a plus), but don't go overboard.

It was at this point that Mr. Giraffe became very curious himself. He was curious, could it be that this 17-year-old curiouschick might actually be a sweaty 45 year old FBI agent . . .

Say hello to him. Talk about something interesting. Be disarmingly candid once or twice (this works for guys too)
Also, if you're talking to him the first time, try not to be too distracted by whatever else might be going on (TV, other people, the music, your shoes, etc.) Guys like attention and being focused on just as much as girls do.
