People are often in #straightdope. Many people idle throughout the workday, but it's more active in the evenings. Right now there's fourteen people in there.

#sdmb came about as a response to the change in authority on #straightdope. #sdmb tends to be a quieter channel, and there isn't much overlap between the two.
