Twice now I've received an email containing a file. Today it was named "hound.zip.bat", yesterday it was a PIF file. The subject mentions a basset hound and the subject goes something like "I'm crazy about my basset hound".

I've done a search on the Symantec site and a general one on Google but I can't find any information on this. Has anyone else received this email? Or do I just have a basset hound stalker?

Open nothing in the way of attachments, I'd say, with this one.

WAG: might be connected with Sadhound. (http://www.unh.edu/signals/March2003/fileattachments.htm)

Sadhound is typically fitted with the subject line “I Miss You,” with a corresponding e-mail body with the same line. It will also contain one of the following attachments:
· bloodss.jpg
· bgg.jpg
· Missingyou.htm.%Number of spaces%pif.htm
The message contains an image of a basset hound and also includes a text file.

That sounds close enough to be it. Thanks for the info Ice Wolf.

I was a good girl and didn't open anything. ;)
