http://www.homestarrunner.com/
A super-flash-heavy site that features some odd, strange, cute cartoon characters in all sorts of mundanely bizarre situations. It takes a while to get into, since most of the cartoons or features aren't drop-dead hilarious (some are, but most of them are just amusing and cute)... and you grow to love the characters.
I would suggest that a new viewer check out the Strong Bad E-mails...

Freaky.
I'd never heard of Homestarrunner.com before my brother showed it to me last weekend, though it's apparently been around for a couple of years. Since then it's come up in conversation or posts like this four independent times. Isn't there a name for this phenomenon?
I've spent way too much time over the past few days exploring the site. The movies get funnier in retrospect as you start to pick up more of the inside references. And the Strong Bad emails are definitely the best part. "Trogdor, the Burninator!"
Have you found some of the eggs yet? There's one in most of the emails...some are better than others...

AND THEN TROGDOR COMES IN THE NIIIIIGGGGGHHHHTTTTTT!!!
Great Site! Although I will concede that the characters to take a bit of getting used to. Alot of people don't know a thing about the site, as they all just go to see Strong Bad E-mail!

Neglected to mention the blast-from-the-past costumes in the Halloween party animations. And the atari 2600 video game references... ah, nostalgia for the '80s...

Are you kidding? I LOVE MONDAYS NOW because of the new Strong Bad email! I have StrongBad wallpaper! Strong Bad starts up my computer! ("Helllllooooooooo stupid, and welcome to your crappy computer.") He shuts it down! ("Good bye stupid, we had a lot of fun on your crappy computer...please don't ever come back!") He's my alert sound! ("Holy crap!")
btw, anyone else catch the April Fool's gag? Totally floored me...wish I'd looked around more!

Aw!!! This is awesome. One of the guys who does the site, Matt, is a friend of mine. It is great to see good work from good folks appreciated by good folks :) I wonder if he knows that 5 threads have been started on the dope boards about his stuff....I might just have to drop him a note.

If you're obsessed with Strong Bad (as I am), here's a link to the Strong Bad Secrets site. It's the best/most complete set of not just the secrets, but direct links to the emails.

I've heard of it, but I didn't experience the awesomeness until last night. Wow. My favorites have to be the Japanese cartoon e-mail (hooray for Megaman music) and the techno e-mail. A bunch of my friends have an a cappella group going and they are working on a version of "The System is Down." Pure awesome.

I have SB do that type of stuff on my computer, too. When I get an email, he says "Electronic MAIL!" and when I shut down, he says "It's about time! Why don't you go outside or something? NERD!"

What? You think everyone is logging on to watch "tape-leg"? That's a good one!

I prefer finding the extras through good old fashioned hard work.
I do miss some of the older characters that have been fazed out. Mr. King of Town for one....

Ah, Strong Bad, the bane of so many Farkers.
Every Monday the SB email gets linked to, and every Monday people biatch about it. "Why is this posted? It's not even funny. And everyone who thinks it's funny knows when it's updated." "Then don't read it." "blah blah blah".

There was a thread about the eBay auction of a half-eaten breakfast burito. (For some reason the auction was soon closed.) Some poster posted a link to the Strong Bad e-mail that prompted the auction. That's how I discovered the site.
I love Strong Bad.

Strong Bad is the reason I visit the site. But I love the "First Time Here?" Flash animation, with Homestarrunner trying to intro the site.

I just discovered Homestar Runner a couple weeks ago when I spent a disgusting amount of time looking at all the flahses. I now find myself saying things like "This is the best ceweal evewww!"
I didn't really look at the downloads page at that time; I am going there right now to download Strong Bad telling me I'm an idiot and I have e-mail. This is so cool!

Everyone in my D&D group is a Strong Bad fan. We have one half-dragon character that the player seriously considered naming "Trogdor".
And my sorcerer's favorite spell is Burninating Hands.

Okay, so this thread is the first I've heard of the site. I'm reading through the old Strong Bad emails, which are great. I got up to Strong Bad email 22, in which Mark asks him what he thinks of the English. His response is censored. The cartoon seems to suggest that this was done after the fact, because of controversy it sparked. Is that what actually happened, or was it censored like that to begin with?
Also, is it just me, or do all the games suck, except Trogdor?
DougAB

It was censored like that to begin with. Oh, I'll tell you what I think of the English!
The games are definitely not the highlight of the site.

I love the Strong Bad e-mails. I actually originally found the site through another message board, one for my favorite band. It gets a lot of press there too, even from the members of the band! When the board went down one day, the webmaster put up a little blurb along the lines of, "While we're fixing this, go to the coolest site on the 'net, www.homestarrunner.com"... I was put off for a while by the extreme Flash since my connection is terrible, but I eventually fell in love.

I love the Strong Bad emails as well... It was a great way to spend a lazy afternoon in a friend's dorm room, looking through all of the funnier ones.
The "Yello Dello" cartoon is quite funny as well.

So, what is the thing in the bag? It's been down everytime I've been there today.
Wait, don't spoil it. Where does it fit on a scale of 1 to Awesome?

"Survey Says: Your an Idiot!"
I don't know what the thing in the bag is and I can't find any easter eggs either.... very upsetting!
Anyone know if www.trogdor.com is associated with the creators of HomestarRunner?
