Tomorrow and Wednesday!
COWABUNGA!!!!!!
Well, ain't that a turnabout. Today in Los Angeles it's 59 degrees and raining. Not a small sprinkle, either. POURING rain.
And to think a few weeks ago, our smug meteorologists were reporting, "It will be 85 and sunny all this week, oh and by the way New York got five inches of snow." Heh. Oh well.

Haha KGS. I was just talking to my friend in LA and she told me about the crappy weather you're having today.
We had our fair share last week, believe me!

87 degrees in the Twin Cities! Of course light snow is in the forecast later this week. Gotta love Minnesota!

80's in Philly too!
I'd also like to point out that one week ago today we got five inches of snow.

Can you believe it? 80 in da 'cuse tomorrow and then snow on Thursday!!:smack:
I'll believe it when I see it. This morning it was barely 50º when I was coming to work. Besides, Thursday—when I have a million errands to do after work—it's going to be raining and in the goddam 40s again.

It was in the seventies in Michigan yesterday - balmy and sunny, and I didn't have to go to work. Michigan, I apologize for the pit thread I started about you the other day.

It's 16C right now, with a guaranteed high of 28C. That's... well, 28 is about... 85F? Drizzling and freezing rain later on this week, though.

It's warm here in Central PA, too. Warm and sunny.
Aaron got to wear shorts to daycare today, and he looks positively adorable! :D

Lissla Lissar, I was just thinking that a week ago today I was looking out of these same Toronto-area at-work windows... at a blizzard. Dunno what it's going to do later in the week though.

I remember slogging through that blizzard, Sunspace, screaming, "It's fricking April! We don't need three feet of snow!! GO AWAY!"
Maybe it will be mostly summer, now. After the rain and cold, I mean. Ready for smog and heat, everybody? I'm gong to buy an ice shaver and make snow-cones.

I find the whole thing really depressing. I don't care much for the sun and I hate heat.
Why couldn't it just be cool and Springy?
Dangit.

Terrific. This is one of those occasions when the editors (those would be my bosses) get together and decide we need some light, bright, dopey story about The Weather. And about how Two Weeks Ago We Were Shoveling Snow, and Now We're Sunbathing in Central Park! Because This is the Kind of Thing a Big-Deal Newspaper Gives to the World. Our Readers Expect It! Revel in It! Clip It and Send It to Relatives in Far-Off Lands!
And myself? Bah. I'll be Out on Assignment. Which involves combing the racks at the Neiman Marcus outlet and contemplating Good Journalism.

I find it amusing that the only two people who have psted to this thread that are not thrilled in the least about the weather are newspapers folks.
I think the job just fills one with a cynical bitterness after a few years that make things like ... the weather ... about as interesting as, oh say ... the weather.
Yeah, I'm jaded.

Don't get me wrong, Gordon Heap. If it's 90 and humid, I'm delighted. Personally.
Professionally, I just don't feel the need to go interview zookeepers about how they're hosing off the wildebeests to keep them from stinking up the joint.

Damm cold today , but its supposed to be back up to seasonal temps on saturday
The only good thing about the weather (33 F) that i can see , is that its not like our sister month of october, and this stuff is gonna stick around.
Another 2 weeks and temps will be in the 60's average.
