Yesterday, in a thread about people misunderstanding ironic lyrics, I posted an excerpt from Paul Simon's At The Zoo. The excerpt ended with the line, "Hamsters turn on frequently..."

Please, O mighty hamsters, have mercy on this vile keytapper! I meant no offense. In fact, Paul Simon wasn't even writing about hamsters. The song is about prejudice. The animal species mentioned were just a literary device! A figure of speech! Oh, dear, I'm digging in deeper here. :smack:

See, I moved over the weekend. Not only did I move, but I had to drop broadband and get dial-up, since that's all that's available way out here. Obviously, the boards sensed my absence and went down in sympathy to make sure I didn't miss anything. Thanks, boards!
