View Full Version : Throat aches from oral

I decided that there is no reason for me to ever have an unanswered question floating in my mind, since I found this site! I am addicted.
On some occasions I notice that my throat hurts either about an hour (if I am awake) or the next morning after performing oral sex on a significant other (I am usually down there at least 30 minutes every time).
Questions:
Why is this?
Can this cause any long-term damage?
If I swallow the vaginal juices, is the acid eating at my stomach?

What comes out of a vagina can't be stronger than what is in your stomach naturally.

A guess: maybe having your mouth open for such a long period of time dries out your throat, making it a bit sore. Or possibly the slightly acidic vaginal juices are irritating your throat.

Hmm... good question!

One would need to know just where your "throat" hurts. The retropharynx? The tonsillar beds? Down at the level of the adam's apple? At the base of the tongue?

If the last location is where it pains you, I would suggest its from muscle pain from over-use of this fixture. Good warm-ups and cool-downs for the tongue are both necessary and desirable to avoid such complications. Without proper conditioning, one could suffer a debilitating tongue cramp in the middle of activities.

I definitely appreciate all of these responses. To the good doctor: it is not a tongue pain as I have felt those before (and thankfully, the tongue does get stronger, making me better!). It is almost like a feeling of dehydration, but it is not that. It feels like layering in the throat. Very weird. I have talked to others who have felt it before. Every morning after I have always wondered. Still do. Well, I am still alive and have all my correct parts operating correctly, I think.

I have seen Marines do 2 handed push ups, I have seen Marines do 1 handed push ups. However I am guessing that LanceUSMC is the only Marine tough enough to do pushups with his toungue. :)

LanceUSMC, you're probably just having muscle fatigue and strain from holding your head in an unusual position with your tongue extended for a long time. Try changing positions during your tender ministrations. Having your sweetie give you a neck rub afterwards would be a good idea, too.
