I remembered this summer series airing on Fox several years ago. It starred Heath Ledger (not that he's changed much) and I thought it was a very nice show.
Lo and behold, it's shown up on the Sci Fi Channel (http://www.scifi.com/roar/)! Wednesday's at 8p, opposite Enterprise!
What to do...what to do....I'm a die hard Trekker, but after all, we are talking about Heath Ledger here...

I remember this show. I really liked it alot, but it was on maybe 5 or 6 times? I didn't think there were enough shows made to show them on a network. Heath Ledger was some nice eye candy, but I really liked the guy who played a sorcerer. Can't remember his name, Seymour, something or other.

It was kinda good, but also kinda not, in that "Earth 2" sort of way.

The only thing good about it was the incredible music...everything else was just wasted potential. If only they hadn't tried to be a Hercules rip-off. There are so many Irish legends they could've based it on...CuChullain and the Red Branch, Fionn MacCumhaill, Conor MacNessa (whom I had hoped it would be about when one of the early commericals identified HL's character as "Conor", but no...) Cormac MacArt...so many possibilites, but no, it had to be a silly Herc-rip with evil Romans trying to take over Ireland, which never happened.
But the music....

I've been trying to catch Roar on the SciFi Channel. I missed it when it was first on (didn't even know of its existence) so was surprised when it surfaced on SciFi. It's OK, I guess. I like the cast. Wouldn't call it really great. And the music is good.

It was real hard to take Ledger seriously in "The Patriot" after seeing this show.
