Bank Holiday weekend, DublinDopers

Just sending out feelers to see if anyone will be about for upcoming bank holiday weekend. I'll probably come to Dublin on the Saturday and stay until the Tuesday.

Should you ever have occasion to visit the US, don't use the phrase "Bank Holiday." Older Americans would take it to refer to the closing of banks during the Depression of the early 1930's. And they never reopened. Unlike the current "bank holidays."

OOps, I meant, this MONTH. It's not every month? We get so many days off work, as teachers, it's hard to know which are real holidays and which are teacher ones.

We are LUCKY.

Naah, not really, I have to go and see some pesky customers soon, and won't be back in the office again this week.

I happen to be not available this Friday (unfortunately), so i thought it wise not to confuse the issue, and keep schtum about the whole venue thing, as i'm not coming anyways!

Well, elfje, I checked. It's about 800 bucks rt. Not as bad as I expected. But 15 to 18 hours in coach is a bit much for this old man. Sweet of you to offer, though. :)
I'll drink a pint of local brew in one of the brew pubs here in Berkeley and think of the fun you're all having. I don't get over to Dublin (CA) much.

Sorry, but I think it's safe to say, I'm as much of a geeky spaz when I'm sober. Until this medication is finished, I can't drink (much) so you'll just have to carry the extra load for me.
