The headline in today's Chicago Sun-Times is:
IT'S BUSH AND GORE
Does this sound like an accurate description of bad slasher movies to anyone besides me?

According to the headline in the Denver Post yesterday, Colorado Republicans prefer Bush.
Mighty tempting to change political affiliation for that.
I hope Gore wins so we can read how Gore whips Bush. Gore beats Bush.

Maybe Herschell Gordon Lewis will come out of retirement to direct it with Roger Corman producing.

Remember how the last name Dole (as in Bob), when spelled properly (for pronunciation's sake) in Farsi, was spelled the same as the Farsi word penis?
Ah, the wacky world of multiculturalism!

Reminds me of when dubya's daddy was running. Bumper stickers read: "Lick Bush in 88" (or whatever year it was)

Can't say I'm deeply enthused about either, but if that's the choice...
FWIW, Gore has a helluva lot more brain power and experience than Bush--who seems like a nice man but *really* out of his depth. (I'm leaving the whole "more moral than you, neener, neener, neener" thing strictly alone.)
That said, I still flash back to a *great* NPR bit (I think) satirizing the political climate.
Speaking of monsters and horrorshows...of course Al Gore *instantly* morphed in the role of "Igor". Say it slowly, with a mock Transylvanian accent: "Algore!"
Helluva sad note--or maybe not--when election brouhaha mainly calls to mind the late, great Marty Feldman. ("That's EYE-gore") And does anyone else watch poor Dubya and mentally sound-dub in, "Drop the chalupa"?

Semi-hijack here: I keep flashing on a photo that I saw (or think I saw) in Newsweek, back in the 80s. It was of some kind of Republican gathering, and people were holding up signs, one of which said, "Bush and Dole [something]" with a drawing of a shrub and a pineapple. But when was Bush, Sr. or Jr., ever affiliated with Dole? Or have I just been taking the brown acid?

Last night while I was online, I hit on the ABC news button going to their forums, they had pictures of the candidates, and alongside McCains was this curious statement:
'McCain identifies gays' I just started laughing, nearly choking on my coke. I had this nutty picture of him standing on a podium in Somewhere, USA 'there goes one, hey, there's one,.........'
well, it WAS funny last night, maybe ya had to be there! :)

Bush vs. Gore--the first choice teenage boys must make in the video store when the parents are out of town.
There's an ad in the Nation classifieds for a "Bush for Lawn Ornament" bumper sticker. I might have to get one.

I have a hobby. I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of it.
