Week one, I go to this hardware store, Mr. Bricolage (Monsieur not Mister), I see some mini drills and ask the woman in charge of the section if they have spare drills for them (I own a microdrill that needs a specific type of drill bits) she says that at the moment they don`t have any, but NEXT WEEK they´ll be available.

Week two: went again to the hardware store, ask the guy now in charge of the section what´s up with those drill bits, they actually have them, but not the stand where they´d be put, come back next week, sorry for the inconvenience, it´s just a 20 Km. trip...

Week three: walk into the hobby section, see a stand plethoric of drill bits, at least I´ll get those spare parts I need so much... no, wait; there has to be an error here *checks sight* could it be? *gets closer to the stand until price tags are two nose lenghts of the eyes* WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!!!??? 40 dollars for four 1mm drill bits!? 6.50 the cheapest piece-of-steel-with-little-ball-of-grinding-stuff-on-top!?
Not only the bastards are mocking me with those extraterrestrial prices but they even dared to write the descriptions on the price tags in French! this guys must be drinking too much thinner lately. I´m pissed off, very, bloody, utterly pissed off; I´ve waited three weeks to get the spares I needed and the bloody suckers are trying to rob me without even bothering about using a gun.
So guess what Monsieur Bricolage? I´m ordering the drill bits via Internet, straight from a first quality manufacturer (not the third rate crap you´re selling) costs me TEN BLOODY TIMES LESS and come in not more than 2 weeks, you thinner-drinking moron!.

Oh, by the way, go and check the aisle 3 for that silicone grease, you´ll need it to shove those drill bits up your you-know-what ´cause you don`t have a frigging chance of selling that crap to anyone.

I feel your pain. Vote with yer wallet, bud.

Stick it back in your pocket, and shop somewhere else.

Oh, wait, you already did that, didn't you?

:D

I´m not only going to do a wallet vote, I´ve got an accuaintance that has a cable program about hobbies, I appear there now and then; next time I´ll maybe share my little story with the audience.

Nitpick: Monsieur Bricolage should be M. Bricolage instead of Mr. Bricolage.

After the third line of the OP I was thinking 'Isn't this exactly what the web is for?'

And lo and behold I was right.

How about Ebay?

If you can find anything from used underwear to a clump of hair from Elian Gonzales, I'm sure a you could acquire a stinkin drillbit without breaking a sweat.

The thing is that it´s written "Mr. Bricolage" but they say Monsieur Bricolage....

I forgot all about M. Bricolage! Saw them all over the place in France. Where are you posting from, Ale?

Doesn't "bricolage" mean notions or bric-a-brac or something like that?
