Columnist Liz Smith reports that country star Tim McGraw gave Redbook an interesting answer when the magazine asked him what TV show he'd like to appear on as a guest. McGraw replied, "I like Everybody Loves Raymond, but I think I'd go for Will & Grace. I could play Will's love interest. That'd be interesting!"
My jaw literally dropped when I read this. If this is true, then I am really encouraged that widespread, mainstream acceptance is not too far away. Used to be that actors feared playing gay characters thinking they'd be type-cast. Now even non-actor celebrities aren't afraid of some feared "stigma".
