I hate and despise fake pit threads. The OP may think it is the wittiest bit of prose ever written, it may well be. I don't care. If I open a pit thread with a mod's name on it I expect to hear a gripe against the Mod. Not a masturbatory - Hey look at me I'm so clever! - type of enterprise.

I have noted my impending curmudgeonhood in another thread. Just call me the Andy Rooney of the SDMB, but I will continue to hope I am not alone in this feeling.
