The film in question is about an African bushman. There is a bird in one of the scenes that calls "GOAWAY!" at times when the bushman is hunting thus scareng away his prey.

IIRC the film has a narrator.

Sorry my memory is so vague, these are the only details I can recall.

Is it Animals Are Beautiful People (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071143/)? It's a documentary about wildlife of the Namib Desert. It's by the same director as The Gods Must Be Crazy and features bushmen.

Thanks for the quick response! I think Number is correct, I haven't seen this since I was about 8, a fun documentary-mockumentary for kids
