John Lennon once, when I was in high school. I dreamed he tried to bum a cigarette from me (I didn't have any) and said something ordinary about the weather. It was quite a letdown.

More recently, Prince Andrew, but that was a rather bizarre and disturbing dream, so I'm not sure you'd want the details.

I dreamed a couple nights ago that I was driving with three other people to have lunch. One of the people was Michael Jackson, and the cops pulled us over and took him into custody.

I actually remember planning on describing the incident on the SDMB, and it being more interesting than the thread I opened describing my proximity to the Florida anthrax incident.

This isn't recent - more like eons ago when I was in high school. I had a dream I was kissing Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and the Raiders. What was especially bizarre is that I wasn't a big fan of the group. I didn't own any of their records. I liked a few of their songs, but that's about how far it went. Yet there I was, dead asleep, dreaming about smooching on the lead singer.

Very weird.

I dreamed I bumped into Carly Simon in a drugstore (the old-timey kind that typically had short order grills) in my home town. I got her autograph as I was awaiting my pimento cheese sandwich, and she told me, "Now, if you decide to sell it, be sure you get lots of money for it."

I keep having recurring dreams where I have to sit in with some of my favorite bands (but there are never any of the other members around, but it is clear in the dream that it is "the group", strange) with an instrument I do not know how to play (I don't really play any instrument) but manage to totally rock the house anyway! :D

Very strange. Maybe some kind of unfullfilled musical fantasy? At any rate, I'm getting myself a drum kit for Christmas.

Yes- filled in on guitar (yeah, right! I'm not worthy to tune Steve Howe's car)
Rush- filled in on drums (yeah, right! again)
misc. others on drums, bass and guitar

(I do not play drums, bass or guitar, but I have always wanted to)

I think I should schedual some councelling time, maybe.

A few months ago I met Warrick and Catherine from CSI. Warrick's was a prick to me and Catherine just ignored me. They found evidence that I killed 4 of my friends/relatives, but fortunately the dream ended before I had to lead them on a merry 45 minute chase.

I had a dream once I was being chased around a darkened Dollar General store by a knife-weilding Ben Affleck. It was weird because I'm not a fan or anything.

I once dreamed I met David Bowie.. in my dream he looked thin and sickly (more so than in real life) and I told him he needed to take some vitamins.

I had a dream once about Maynard Keenan of TOOL..but I woke up before it got interesting.

Well, there was the dream where I was in Hell drinking vodka with John Bonham.

Then there was a dream where I was in my parents' basement watching TV and Peggy Guggenheim was in the room with me. The TV show was very strange and I turned to Ms. Guggenheim and said whoever created it must have been on LSD. She started laughing.

I guess that's a little better than dreaming you've gone to hell with a member of Led Zeppelin

Orlando Bloom. We were in an elevater or something together, some kind of thing that required us to be in close proximity for a reasonable amount of time. I told him his wardrobe sucked, or at least that's what everyone online said, and he seemed amused. I also wondered if it would be too geeky to get him to autography my shoulder, so I could get it tattooed.

Several years ago, I dreamed Enya told me she wanted to have a baby with my father. Very wierd. Then one morning a couple of months later while one of her CDs was playing I dreamed that the two of us were in a car going over some kind of winding rainbow up in the sky.

Aaron Carter and Leonardo di Caprio, sitting with me in a dingy dorm in Moscow, giving autographs to 12-year-old girls and listening to my reassurances that the cockroaches aren´t that dangerous, really, they´re much larger and nastier in the smaller rooms (where the fans were living - the poor girls were really freaked out). Leonardo didn´t believe me though and pulled his legs up on the bed.

I´ve got no idea why those two, I was never a fan of either and I hadn´t even seen a di Caprio film at the time...

But then again, in the same dream a little later a big stern Russian teacher turned up and told us thousands of penguins die every year because they sleep so long that they starve. Wasn´t supposed to make any sense, I guess...

Durgh. Last night I had what might just be the most bizarre dream I've had since childhood. I was on a bus, sitting and minding my own business, and there was this .. living detached head sitting near me. Next to it was a kid whose face was the same as that of the head.

Within the next moment or two, it became clear that both the child and the head were wearing latex masks - the head was Michael Jackson (still just his head, mind you, which seemed perfectly normal in the dream), and he was with a child. When they realized I recognized them they both ran off the bus and I was stopped from chasing them by a female bodyguard.

But I think that's my only celebrity dream, unless you count the one I had as a kid with Inspector Gadget.

The only celebrity dream I can remember clearly is one where I was making out with Britney Spears--this is odd as I'm a heterosexual female. Though I think I was kinda turned on. It was Britney Spears, after all.

I think I had a few dreams about a few obscure bands I am/was obsessed with--can't remember very clearly though.

I had another dream about going to Hell--in this case I met Joseph Stalin. Later in the dream I met Stalin's second wife, Nadya Alliluyeva. She wouldn't speak to me. A short time later I met Ian Curtis and he wouldn't speak to me either.

Hell was a nice place in the dream,though,--it looked kind of like a golf course.

I had a dream some years ago in which Robert Duvall chased me through an abandoned mansion, dressed as a priest, brandishing a human skull, and shrieking in a horrible nasal voice. It sounds funny but it was quite upsetting...

And I had a dream a while back in which I saw Mark Rylance acting in Antony and Cleopatra, and I was sitting in the front row, and he leaned over at one point and whispered something to me, though I don't remember what it was. This one I'm sure was caused by anticipation of going to see the Globe's Twelfth Night tour (which was spectacular, btw. And I did manage to land front-row seats!) ;)

I'm sure I've had other dreams about celebrities but I can't remember them offhand, at the moment...

A few months ago, I dreamed I saw the lead singer from The Strokes riding a horse. I have no idea what his name is, but he was singing "Last Nite", so I knew it was him. The police (not The Police) were chasing me, apparently because I looked like an immigrant, so I shot him with a rifle and took his horse.

I rarely dream of famous people unless they're ones I've known in real life, but just this past weekend I had a dream about Vanessa Redgrave. Unlike most of my dreams, this one was not at all violent or frightening. It was so vivid and she was so beautiful. It was by far the best dream I've had in a long time. I'm grateful to my brain for having given me such a nice surprise.

Wow, so few sports stars Although I see I'm not the only one with character dreams. I have never had a celebrity or rock star in my dreams (maybe women have them more?) but I've had the following:

Michael Jordan when I was in college (couldn't score on him even in my dreams, that's how good he was)

Joe DiMaggio (playing back inthe '40s)

Bob Gibson (he drilled me with a fastball a couple years back, and it hurt; I then woke up with a sore shoulder b/c I'd slept on it wrong - amazing how real life seeped in there)

Ty Cobb (we talked about some of the latest stars in the majors; he had a beard for some odd reason)

I've had character dreams, too; I'm in a fairly active Singles' class at church, and lately a few times this has led to the dad, Uncle Jesse, and Joey from Full House being in our class; also led to my babysitting Michelle in a weird dream where b/c of so many reruns she was jumping from 2 years old to 8 to 4 to...it was just weird.

Also had a Hogan's Heroes dream once where I was helping them rescue Jews - and Schultz was with us helping. (Inspired by a fanfic I was writing at the time)

My Full House dreams, the other couple I've had may have been inspired by fanfics, too.

I've also been on board the Enterprise, TNG version, but don't remember much of what happened there.

I went through a bout of Adam Sandler dreams for three nights running. They were all pretty strange, but probably the pinnacle was when we were sneaking off to the beach grass to have sex, he paused to spell "Hi Mom" with Legos in three foot high letters on the lawn.

Like many others have mentioned, I don't particularly like Sandler, and certainly don't find him attractive.

Some years back I dreamed that I was married to the guy who played Apollo Creed in one of the Rocky movies. Might I add, I've never seen any Rocky movies.

And a few months ago I was having an affair with Ian McKellen. Yes, I know he's gay, but it didn't seem to matter in my dream. Yum!

And just last night Leonardo diCaprio (ugh) was my boyfriend. What's that all about?

I've also been having reoccuring dreams about a mystery I must solve and all kinds of interesting people have shown up to assist. Harry Potter, Alexander Sidhara(? Bashir, DS9) Wierd Al, Matt Damon, among them. Bitch of it is, I still havn't solved the mystery!

I also rode with the Simpson's sea captain to hell. (After watching Clash of the Titans) Coin for the Ferryman?

I had REALLY bad 'flu one year and in my wildly delerious state, I had an amazingly vivid dream where I went on holiday with Rolf Harris in a four-legged, caravan-sized roast chicken!!!!
