I used a wrong date in a post. Can I edit it.
How.

No, you can't fix it. You broke it. It's all your fault.
Actually, the tech folks messed up and we've been doing a bit of time tripping here. It's not your fault and it will correct itself eventually.
Don't worry about it.

why no edit/delete button? Its useful for people who accidentally mess up a thread so no one can read it :)

Because it would be too easy for people to, say, get a thread all riled up and then go back and make themselves look squeaky clean and innocent and everyone else therefore look like jerks (and similar stuff)

You know what would be cool? UBB probably can't do this, but it would be nice if you could edit your post, but only while it is the last post in a thread. Once someone else replies, it's set in stone.

Saltire, the option we've been requesting (subject to the folks at UBB actually installing such software in their package), has been a preview feature that would let a poster review their finished post (with UBB mistakes, etc.) before it hit the board.
