Half-arsed, Semi-Secret Santa Downunder.

As a result of much clamouring from the G'Dopers (yes, it was deafening ;) ), I hereby volunteer to organise the Second Secret Santa for Aussie and Kiwi Dopers.

This one is not-so-secret, and a fairly half-arsed effort, actually. It's not even exclusive to the Downunder Dopers.

Here's the details:

1) Email me (it's in my profile) with your postal address. Please put something about SD, or Secret Santa in the subject line.

2) Feel free to add comments such as "I can only afford postage within my state" or "don't you dare pair me up with XXX, they got me a crappy gift last year" ;) The selection is not going to be as random this year, as I no longer own a hat to draw names from. :D

3) Please also add in your email whether or not you can send internationally. There are a few non-Aussie and non-Kiwi Dopers who would like to join in.

***International Dopers***
Unfortunately, if not enough Downunder Dopers are able to post internationally, you may miss out. It's a tough time of year for some of us, so I hope you'll understand.

4) Wait eagerly for your return email, with your "victims" postal address.

5) Get off your butt and send your gift to your Doper friend.

Emails must be in my bulging little inbox by my bedtime, on Saturday 6th December. I will send out emails to all on Sunday.

Further:

Gifts can be second-hand, re-gifted, cheap $2 shop jobs, or more. It's the fun of getting something in the mail from someone you haven't 'met' even though you've shared thoughts with.

There is no minimum amount, and no maximum amount. Give what you feel like, or are able to afford to give. For a rough guide, last year most gifts appeared to be in the $5 - $20 range. But as stated before, $2, or pre-loved gifts are fine. This is about having fun, not scoring more pressies.

So far, we have two people able to send overseas. Please note that since this is a combined Australia and New Zealand bit of silliness, I count overseas to mean anywhere that isn't Oz or Kiwi (and postage is about the same in cost, anyway). So Tasmania and the rest of the world will count as 'overseas' ;)

For the curious it is a LOTR game - Battle of Destiny. Added bonus that it is a handy travel size so I will be able to take it with me on the trip to QLD - Yay :D
