Surprisingly, Hillary Clinton really is a centrist. Her positions certainly don't completely parrot those of the left wing, nor do they necessarily infuriate the right wing. In any event, if she's not a centrist, she won't be re-elected. I'll wager she sails into a second term in the Senate. I'd hate to see her run for President, however, simply because it would bring Richard Mellon Scaife out of the woodwork again. None of us needs that.

Your own position on the political spectrum necessarily colors your impression of others. If you're an extreme conservative, John McCain is a radical left-winger. If you're a Marxist, Hillary Clinton is a reactionary.
