What would happen if a person did not consistantly wipe his/her anal area after excreting waste? Would the person simply smell, or would there be infections, sores, or worse?

It'll start to itch and burn, and then you'll get diaper rash.

ask a Vetnam Vet what happens, I talked to one guy who was infantry in Veitnam, he said that eventually the build up will start showing around your waste...blech.

Are you assuming this person doesn't wash either?
In that case, there's goona be a helluva klingon hauled around after them......

Wait, before you all go off about diapers and infections...

I think the OP is just asking about wiping, not collecting.

In other words, exactly what every animal already does. My dog, for instance, never wipes. No problems with infection.

And, Critical1, did you mean waist when you said waste?

Sometimes I wonder if my son's daycare provider is attempting just such an experiment.

Their anuses stay clean because there's nothing else for the excrement to stick to.

Dogs and cats lick their anuses to keep clean. Preferably in front of company. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm not interested in doing that even if I could reach.

Body functions are timed mostly by habit.
Establish the habit of evacuating and eliminatinng when first arising.
Take your shower and wash the private areas thoroughly. Maybe even apply "Noxema" or similar lotion.
At other times moist baby wipes work wonders and don't irritate tender tissues.
No "Dingleberries" and no problem(s).

Um... if the area were allowed to dry out during the hours between use, would you not end up with a little smear of crusty mud-like substance that you'd brush off or pick off like a loose scab or snot from the end of your nose? Your fingers and posterier would get kinda funky smelling (more so at least), but I don't think there'd be a whole lot of health problems. None of the great apes or monkeys wipe, and they do alright.

You could try "Ass Don't Smell". Might help.

I guess I'll be the guinea pig. As of right now no more wiping or washing in that area for two weeks. I'll get back to you.

So you'll report back with the Daily No Wipe Report?
