My moment of 'DOH!'

Joined the local YMCA last night, since the freebie gym at the local air force base is too busy for my tastes.

I showed up at 5:30 this morning to swim laps, which is my favorite method of exercise. I get poolside, put in my earplugs, and hold on tight to my goggles so I can jump in (most people sort of ease in to the water).

I take a step down to the drain track, slip, and face plant into the water. To add insult to indignity, when I came up for air, the lifeguard yelled at me for diving... :smack:

Hope you didn't hurt yourself - then I won't feel bad for laughing about this. The mental image was priceless!

I'd guess that means you took the job in Marietta then, right? FWIW I have already begun steps of relocating to Florida since you began hurling that cruel epithet at me. Now I will no longer be tied to this chilly land and although I will have to deal with the preconception that I'm unable to work a voting machine and have a kook for a Governor, it's a price I'm willing to pay.

Okay, I was not picking on the Virgina part, it was the "Geek Heaven" part, m'kay?

FCM, I'll be working in Clearwater, but not sure yet where to live. Could be Pinellas or Hillsborough County, but the Jax area might be a bit of a commute. When are you migrating north?
