Can one buy stickers in the shape of letters that can be put together to spell stuff out? Are they available in various shapes, sizes, colors, fonts, etc? Where can I buy them?

How do I set things up so the letters are straight and consistently spaced? Are there kits available?

I'm kinda trying to make a do-it-yourself sign, about 10" by 10" in size.

Cool, thanks. The next question is: How can someone who is reasonably intelligent but not very artistic set things up so that the letters are even and consistently spaced?

The Chartpak letters come with their own spacing guide. All you need is a T-square, or a ruler and a triangle. Check out the rest of the Dick Blick site for loads of sign-making stuff.
