Publick Occurrences

Early in the colonial period, possibly in New England, someone published a journal whose title included the phrases Publick occurrences and as hath hapned... I understand this journal appeared only once. Why? Did the Puritans in power suppress it?

As I recall without looking it up, the Royal Governor didn't care for it very much.
