Typographic problem in Eskimo/Tupperware column

I see quotation marks. (I also see dead people, but they're not Eskimo, so that's not relevant here.)

Most places do have correct quotes, but the penultimate sentence of the third bulleted paragraph contains the strange curly brackets. I agree that they were probably intended to be quotation marks.
