ID this sci-fi miniseries

For those of you who can help, this is what I remember of the miniseries:

- aired in the late 80's on channel 7 (ABC in Los Angeles)
- on Earth, everybody wore gas masks (air too thin to breathe?) and it looked like it rained a lot
- colony ship sent from Earth to a "new Earth"
- crew consisted mostly of teens
- most of the mini series took place on the ship
- no mention of aliens AFAIR

I think the show you're thinking of was actually called "Earth 2" but there are several discrepancies. It aired on NBC and ended in 1995....

No, it wasn't Earth 2, I've seen both. It was a different series, but I unfortunately don't remember what it was called either.

Gamaliel is right, ronincyberpunk, it wasn't Earth 2 (I've seen reruns on Sci-Fi so it's a bit more fresh in my memory) but thanks for the attempt.
