You know what I do when I go to a new message board? I read the FAQ and then read a little of the board to get a sense of the culture. What I don't do is crap all over the place and behave like an ass on my first day.

One reason that I think that she is not female is sort of an intuitive feel for the way that men and women use language. I often make mistakes here at SDMB, so I can't always rely on it. But I did gain a little ability from grading all of those English papers.

In the short sections where she has actually used her own words, Science Girl is not unintelligent. That makes me wonder why the poster would choose to use the words "colored" and "brown" in reference to herself. If she were Black, she would be proud of it and use an appropriate term. She also wouldn't waste her time reading articles by people who are less perceptive than she -- and bigotted against her race and her gender.

So she isn't a person of color. And what she has posted doesn't have much to do with authentic scientific research. So why the "Science" in her name?

If she has probably lied about her race and her academic grasp, why should I believe anything else she says?
