I posted to a few threads today, but I also deleted 6 or 7 somewhat humorous posts. I'm angry with the GOP, I'm angry at myself for running over my own toes with a trailer yesterday. I'm angry at the wind for howling ever since the dandelions came up, so I can't spray the poison that'll kill them. I'm peeved with my cat, who sat on my lap just to chew on the drawstring of my sweatshirt.

I'm gonna go mow the lawn. I'm gonna wrap my feet in bubblepak. Maybe that will make me feel a little funny. :dubious:

I hear ya, AskNott. I, too, have deleted quite a few posts today.

Today I'm feeling just this side of depressed. Not clinical depression but fake depression. That and my allergies are keeping me prisoner in my office which sucks because it's such a beautiful day. My eyes almost swelled shut from walking half a farking block this morning! Add to that the fact that I'm very, very, very, very, extremely, well, let's just say I've called home to schedule, er, special time with my husband this evening AND I've emailed him to confirm.

I don't feel funny at all today. :-/

I'm in a bit of a funk myself, although it's likely from additional documentation and timewriting requirements that I consider a complete waste of good surf time.

Would running over my toes with a trailer help?

I don't feel funny today

I'll be the judge of that - c'mere.

{feel, grope, squeeze, squeeze, feel}

The verdict:
If you're a woman you DO feel funny. If you're a man, I feel funny.

I'm feeling rather better today. :) I'm gonna fill the birdfeeders, so my cat Freckles will have something to do.

*imagines a bunch of birds suckling off his reclining cat*

Naw, he had to mean something else.

The feeders are 3,4, and 5 feet off the ground. Freckles is a great leaper, and he can nab the odd bird in midair. Squirrels also chow down at our little food court, but Freckles is wary of them. Sometimes, he'll chase one up a tree, but it always seems that he's glad the squirrel got away. That's fine. I think the squirrels would kick his red butt.

By the way, I saw a black squirrel three blocks from here yesterday. My brother has dozens of them at his place in West Lafayette, but I've never seen one in this town before. I've read that the black ones are a variation of the red ones we see all the time. Oh, sure, I could make some tired joke about that, but, ehh. Racial humor is soo last century. ;)
