but that's just my Humble Opinion. Couldn't fit all the junk in one forum, too hard to control eh? The mindless stupidity is overflowing...
(oh, yeah, i suppose i set myself up for some great ones now too.) :)

On the other hand, this should cheer up the "MPSIMS is not pointless!" faction who can now post about their favorite movies, books, foods, animals, cars, houses, firearms, primates, fonts and sock darning techniques here and save the soul searing stuff for MPSIMS.

How can you tell? The forum just started and has less than 20 topics under it. IMHO a quick judgement.

Here's what the lovely TubaDiva has to say about the function of this forum, "General Mundane Pointless Questions I Must Debate"
To which has been added, "Topics suited for the new IMHO forum, while obviously generating personal opinions, should generate non-controversial opinions. Cats vs. dogs or large breasts vs. small breasts or the things friends talk about in a bar before they get drunk.
"I see GD as a place for debating controversial opinions, where most people are anything but humble. As I see it, controversial topics like religion and politics are a good fit for GD, or the things friends and sometimes strangers talk about in the bar after they get drunk."
You be the judge.

Try to think of this new forum as The Not-So-Great Debates.
If the conversation gets too nasty, I'll kick it over to the BBQ Pit.
If it gets to intense, or somehow becomes a major issue, I'll kick it over to the Great Debates.
Otherwise, bring on the questions! :)

Apparently, TubaDiva mentioned, as an example:
"...or large breasts vs. small breasts..."
Don't tell me this isn't a major issue, moderators old and new alike! That one has GD written all over it.
Oh, and slythe? Congratulations mate ;)

well Slythe, welcome then. and good luck on the new board. Not so great debates, not quite mundane and pointless, not a pit, just Humble Opinions. how sweet and humble. Maybe i'll start a Zen thread in here somewhere.
jk with you. I truly thought that's what an IMHO board would be though considering we already had the MPSIMS. Lets just hope we don't get a WAG board, huh? :D

I thought the idea was sort of separating "Mundane Pointless stuff I must share" from "Mundane Pointless stuff on which I want to express my (and hear your) opinion."
Thus, "My cat ate my goldfish!" or "I just got accepted to the University of Southern Boise!" would be MPSIMS.
"Whaddya think of the Cubs?" or "Name your favourite jelly bean flavour" would be IMHO.
But, of course, this distinction is, ahem, MHO.

"Name your favourite jelly bean flavour" would be IMHO
