One of ABC's greatest sitcoms Sledge Hammer! is coming out on DVD July 27! Why didn't anyone tell me?
DVD details (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001ZX0EW/ref=ase_thedigitalbit-20/103-7798786-4294252?v=glance&s=dvd)
Now if they'd hurry up and get me my NewsRadio set like they promised me, I'll be set for life.
And the Tick Animated series...and that's it.

Perfect timing, my Laserdisc player just died and watching Sledgehammer was the only reason I ever used my LD player anymore, BTW I just picked up season 1 of Barney Miller on DVD and it looks better than I expected.

First The Greatest American Hero, and now this. Pity my poor aching wallet...
(Trust me, I know what I'm doing. :D )

Gee, and here I thought I was the only person who lilked Sledge. Don't know if I'll fork over for the DVD, but it's nice to know it's out there.

I remember watching that when I was a wee little child.
I never knew it was a comedy until today. :smack:

I used to LOVE that show, I think the only scene I remember was him going up to the roof of a building to fire off a flare and hitting the helecopter.

I was just slighty too young to get most of the jokes, and yet I recall laughing at it enough to annoy my parents, who eventually concluded it was inappropriate for me... :(
I shall once again revel in a bit of the ol' ultra-violence! :D

My thought exactly.

You have to admire a series that was willing to nuke all of its characters for the first-season cliffhanger. :D
(And, of course, how they wiggled out of that for the second season ;) )

Of course it wasn't even supposed to be a cliffhanger; they got renewed after the last episode was aired I think.
