The sleet-covered pudding goodness of our youth has finally returned! http://x-entertainment.com/articles/0904/

My question is this: Does anyone have any clue as to why jello pudding pops were taken off the market in the first place? There are literally scores of memorial websites and peitions (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=lang_en&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=jell-o+pudding+pops&btnG=Search) begging for an explanation. Granted, it's anecdotal, but it really makes me wonder why something so popular was discontinued.

Do you still make JELL-OŽ Pudding Pops?

JELL-OŽ Pudding Pops were discontinued in 1993. There were not enough consumers buying this product to support its continued production.

I loved pudding pops. I tried to make my own by freezing pudding, but it just wasn't the same (although my son loved them). I'm very happy that they're back, but the current way to buy them here is a package of Vanilla, Chocolate, and chocolate/vanilla swirl. I only like the chocolate. Good thing I don't live alone.

I also recall that towards the end of their run, they started branching out into all kinds of varietys, including "gourmet" style chocolate ones with coatings and rice crispies, etc. And of course, there were JELL-O Jello Pops as well.

Does anyone remember those?
