In college, I'd sleep until noon or so because I'd stay up really late the day before. Nowadays, no matter how late I stay up, I'm up at 7 or so on Saturdays to run with friends, and can't sleep later than 8:30 or 9 on Sundays when I actually have the opportunity to sleep in. My husband, on the other hand, happily sleeps until noon or later on both days. In fact, he's still asleep now and it's 12:15 or so. I just don't get it - you lose half the day doing that!

So how late do you sleep?

I'm up at 6 AM every day...my dog needs his insulin shot every 12 hours, and now I have a hyperthyroid cat too, and he needs a pill. On weekends and when I don't have class I go back to bed and take a nap till about 10 or so, depending on how late I was up the night before.

College male here. I sleep till 2pm everyday. That is because there is no school and work startes at 4pm. I Don't lose much of the day since I go to sleep at 6am.

I'd say usually about 10:30 in the morning. If I sleep in too late I feel kind of groggy and end up feeling tired anyway.

I'm up at 05:30, because I have to work on the weekend.

For me, sleeping in in the morning means 8:30am at the latest. Of course, my usual wake-up time is 5am for work, so the extra 3 hours is quite nice! :D

Do you mean on Saturday and Sunday, or on the days I actually have off? Oh well, my body clock's about the same regardless. I get up anywhere from 10 to 2:30, depending on what time I got to bed that day. I'm usually up between 12 and 1, though, which gives me a bit of time to run errands and clean house before going to work.

I'm normally up at 5:30 on a work day, and on days off I may "sleep in" `til 6:00 or even 6:15. It's rare for me to sleep as late as 7:00, and that only happens if I stayed up later than usual or had a bad night.

I normally get up at 8 am on weekdays and stumble into work at 9:30am. (next week, I'm sub coaching at 6:30 am, argh) On Saturday, I actually get up earlier, 6:45 am for a 7 am practice. On Sunday, I get up at 9 am for a 10 am practice. Before we started the Sunday practices, I'd sleep in til noon...

During the school year I am up between 5 and 5:30 a.m. During the summer 6 to 6:30. Weekends around 7. While I don't sleep in, I almost always nap briefly at some time in the day on Saturday and Sunday.

I get up at 8:30am on the days I work after going to bed at about 3:00am but usually wind up napping for a couple hours in the afternoon to play catch-up since it's allowed.

On the days I don't work, I'm typically up around 11:00 to 1:00.

My job requires me to be in by 10.30, so my alarm goes at 09.15.

On weekends, I usually have a lie-in. Say till 11.15.
Of course I go to bed about 01.15. (Later on Fri / Sat)

As a chessplayer, I note that all top international chess events start after midday. This may mean something ... or it may not.

6:30 a.m. every day of the week. You're burning daylight, folks!

6:00 during the workweek.

Weekends -- I usually sleep 8+ hours, but sometimes I go to bed at 1:00 and sometimes I go to bed at 11:00, so I'll get up 7-9.

So, I'll sometimes get up past 9:00 but I don't like to. I'm usually up around 8:00.

If I even stayed in bed to 10:00 I'd feel like I wasted half the day, but in college, routinely past noon.

glee -- my chess club starts tournaments at 1:30. Registration is at 1:00 and guys will stroll in eating breakfast at like 1:15. I've never seen a chess tournament start before noon.

I'm usually out of bed between 7:00 and 8:00 AM on the weekends. I've never been a late sleeper. Sometimes I take a late-morning snooze if I got off to a false start and get sleepy again (at home, that is; I wish I could do this at work sometimes). During the week I get up at 5:15 and I get to work at 6:00. I'm only 5-10 minutes away, which is nice.

Weekdays, I have to get up at 6:30. Weekends, 10:30-noon is ideal, though I occasionally sleep until 1 or 2. On weekends it's rare for me to go to sleep before 2 am. If more than 3 days go by, I start sleeping later and later. My ideal sleep schedule would be 2 am - 10:30 am.

Well, I'm probably quite unusual in that I typically wake up earlier on weekends than on weekdays.

On a weekday I'm up at 5:42 (why do so many of us limit our alarms to multiples of 5?) and get to work by 7:00 (Even though I don't actually *have* to be in until 10:00 at the latest).

On weekends if I have nothing planned I get up at the same time to keep myself on a proper sleep schedule. Otherwise I'll be quite tired the rest of the week at work. Typically, however, I have something planned and I'll wake up quite early for it. For example, an all day hike up a 14,000 foot mountain -- you have to leave pretty early to give yourself plenty of time to make it up!

I've also been known, in the winter, to wake up at 3:30AM to make it to a ski resort three hours away in time for first chair, ski until they close at 4:00PM and then make the three hour drive back home...

Yeah, you can probably see now why my friends would consider me a "morning person"... But I typically am not going to bed much earlier than they are... I just think of it this way, if you're sleeping only one extra hour a day, by the end of the year you will have wasted over 15 full days in bed! Just think what you could do with 15 extra days each year!

For most of the year I'm actually up as early or earlier on the weekends so I can get out bicycle riding before the heat of the day sets in. This last weekend I was on the road at 7:30am, meaning I've got to get up by 6:30 at the latest. But on the upside, when I get back at about 10:30 or so I like to think about all you lumps still in bed while I've just finished my fifty miles! It's a good feeling.

In the winter, though, I'll sleep in real late like 7 or 8am.

I'm up at 4:00 during the week and 5:00 or so on the weekend. If I'm still asleep at 6:00, my husband checks me for signs of life. I love the morning hours. I try to work out on the weekends, but haven't had much success lately. But that early workout really gets me going for my day. 4:00 to 4:45, hopping around with the TV people. Mmmmmmm...I love the buzz from that.

feh, morning people.

In summer while working, I get up at 8:00 to be at work for 9:00. I go to bed around midnight or 1:00am.

During the school year I get up at 7:00 and TRY to get to bed around 11:00 but that doesn't usually happen.

On the weekends I stay up until around 3:00am and sleep in until 11:00 - 1:00.

What I miss in the morning I make up for at night. I hate mornings with a passion
