Is it true that George Washington was a brew master and and had his own brewery? I would appreciate any information.

In short, probably.

Beer was a dietary staple for a Long time. Bread molds, beer doesn't.

Of course, an extra slice or two of bread doesn't induce drunkeness. But beer... Uhmmmmm, beer.
