I am a rabid coffee drinker, averaging about a pot every morning before I go to work. I prefer the highly caffinated java and my system has no problem dealing with this glorious gift of God. On the otherhand, one sip of caffinated tea and I get nauseaus and have to do the "technicolor yawn" within minutes! Anyone know what it is about teas that my body rejects? I can drink the decaf teas with no problems.

Isn't it tannic acid that makes tea play havoc on an empty stomach?

Stop drinking Lipton Tea and you should be okay ;).

Hmm, green tea always makes my stomach feel better. I love coffee (with an unhealthy passion), but sometimes I know that it's not that great for me when my stomach is upset.

It could be that your allergic to some type of tea.

I have tried both green and black teas and my body rejects them both. Lipton definately will bring on the symptons faster than most. It could be the tannic acid. I love the taste of a good chai tea but I regret drinking it every time. Anyone out there know of a good caffine packed tea for my sleepy brain sans the acids that will send it back out through the in door?
