Inspired, obviously, by the "Movies you always watch" thread?
What TV shows do you always watch when you hit them channel surfing? Show that you've seen a million times yet you always find yourself sucked into watching yet again. Include shows that aren't currently running anywhere too. I'm expecting a lot of posters to say any Trek and Law&Order. :)
Mine:
Bonanza
Big Valley
Any Trek ;)
Stargate SG-1
Starsky&Hutch
Emergency (no one ever runs this anymore)
Third Rock from the Sun
Simpsons
Futurama
Buffy
Monty Python
Blackadder
Ephemera

Star Trek, but mostly DS9 and some TNG. I'll skip VGR and TOS.
Friends
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
King of the Hill (hell if I know why.. I hate the characters)

Law and Order and spinoffs
hi, Opal
CSI and spinoffs
The only show I consistantly watch when I happen across it is M*A*S*H. The weird thing is, my roomie has all the M*A*S*H DVDs and I could watch it without commercials or editing (Most of the episodes I had previously seen only in syndication, and really enjoyed the "new" scenes that were edited out to cram in extra commercials) whenever I want, but I still have to watch it when I find it. :)

I am now a Seinfeld fan now that its in re-runs. Never watched it before and now I know what all hullabaloo was all about. Funny!

There are several shows that used to go under this category, but I've seen the reruns so much, it's not important anymore.
M*A*S*H, The Simpsons, and Futurama are three I can think of.
The only show I would watch whenever it came on would be Red Dwarf, and that's mostly because I only get it sporatically.

Dharma and Greg is probably the only one on my list.
OK, I Love the (decade) as well.
But i must say, I face a dilemma every evening. Seinfeld and Good Eats are on at the same time. What to watch?

Sometimes they'll run an episode that I haven't seen in a long time. Yeah, I'm a M*A*S*H junkie too. :)

Presently, I can think of only two "can't miss" shows: 24, and Smallville.
Of old shows,
Star Trek (there, I said it)
Kolchak: The Night Stalker
The Rockford Files
Hawaii Five-0
Wild, Wild West
The Twilight Zone
Bonanza (but only the first few minutes to see the plot and who is guest-starring)
Wonder Woman
Batman
... all when I can find them on.

M*a*s*h
Misnomer
11-12-2004, 05:32 PM
Alias (but not until January :( )
M*A*S*H
West Wing
Friends
Fresh Prince of Bel Air ( ;) )
Seinfeld
Frasier
Buffy
Angel
Stargate SG-1
Cops
The Fairly Oddparents
Animal Cops
Mythbusters
Wings
Trauma: Life in the ER
Star Trek: The Next Generation (sometimes; but only this "flavor" of ST)
Ankarette, I wish my list were shorter. ;)
Dick Van Dyke
Twilight Zone
Star Trek TOS--have you noticed that with the newly digitally enhanced (or whatever they did to them) episodes that the quality is so clear now that you can see all the makeup details, like the eyeliner on Kirk, and the props, etc. Like on the episode where they picked up a virus from a station on a planet where everyone went nuts and turned the heat off and they all froze to death, the dead guy on the floor was so clearly a dummy. I had seen that ep a zillion times over the years and always thought it was some guy lying on the floor, but now it's soooooo obviously a dummy!
