A LONG time ago (or so it seems) someone sent me a link to a site about the tombstones and memorials set up by the families of Russian gangsters killed in action. The memorials were huge and awesome-looking with life-size portraits of the guys etched onto them. I tried really hard to find some sites with pictures, but could find nothing. Could someone help me out please?

sorry, got no info.
So the only way I can help you is by boosting your question to the top again, maybe someone Polish or Russian will spot it. After all you have to speak the language to do a really effective search for the item. My advice would be (if no one helps you here that is) to make more friends in a chat program or find someone willing to do the search for you. My wife is Polish 100% baby! I'll ask her if she knows anything about this, but really she has a good knowledge of Polish websites- stuff us Americans could never find due to the spelling alone  Good luck my friend.

Here's some pix. (http://www.fullpassport.com/Trip2001/Diary/july-23.html) The mafioso above, an Russian Orthodox Christian, holds a Mercedes key in his hand, a symbol of wealth. The mafioso below, from a rival Muslim gang, wanted to look cooly casual.
